How your Pollock installation works
From the first visit to handover, one contractor handles the whole job — including the construction work most elevator dealers hire out.
Step by step
Five steps, one contractor
01
Free in-home visit
We look at the space, the framing, the electrical access and the landing area, and talk through cabin sizes and finishes.
02
Written proposal
A written proposal from us is a firm price, not an allowance that grows later.
03
In stock, work starts in about 2 weeks
We keep Pollock elevators in stock, so work typically starts within about two weeks instead of the 8–10 week factory wait.
04
Finished in about 5–6 days
Five or six days from first day on site to handover, by our own licensed, trained crew, including the floor opening and the finish work around it.
05
Handover
We show you how to use the elevator and its safety features, including the battery lowering system and the diagnostic display.
Our own crew
The construction work is ours, not a subcontractor’s
We’re a design-build remodeling company, not a dealer. Our own construction crew builds the shaft, framing and finish work — most elevator dealers have to hire that out.
We install and inspect under our own license as a Licensed Texas Elevator Contractor (#20399), so you are not sourcing an installer at the end of the job.
Installed by our own licensed, trained crews in Houston, Austin and San Antonio since 2016.
Our team is fully licensed, insured, and experienced, with a strong focus on hands-on project management. From consultation to installation, we handle every detail—coordinating with your home, your builder, and your timeline to ensure a smooth, stress-free process.
We specialize in dependable solutions like Pollock residential elevators, designed for quiet, reliable movement between floors. But what truly sets us apart is our commitment to clear communication, follow-through, and doing the job right the first time.
What your home needs
What the work involves
Installing a residential elevator often requires some level of home modification. Some compact systems fit into existing spaces with minimal adjustment, while others may need reinforced flooring, adjusted electrical access, or an opening through the floor or ceiling.
Pollock’s own guidance is the same: some structural modifications may be required, especially in existing homes, but these shifts are typically minimal. Our team assesses your home and discusses any necessary changes before installation begins.
